eLondon Tickets is a West End ticket agent. When they contacted Esummit, they
were struggling with their online sales via Pay
Per Click marketing. Click-throughs
to the site were low and
conversions to sales were even lower. Their profits did not justify the large
amounts being spent each month on Sponsored Links. As a company that
conducts most of its
business online, this wasn’t
sustainable marketing.
Objectives
The site needed more targeted traffic and an improved ROI. As many of their
sales were made to customers based outside of the UK, they needed to reach this
market. Overall spend was also far too high when compared to profit margin, so
this needed to be improved.
What we did
We analysed the keywords they were using and researched ways to make
them more targeted. This involved researching the ways in which
potential customers combine search terms to find the most popular
groups at the lowest price. We began marketing the site in other
territories to tap the foreign markets. We also experimented with
different landing pages for each ticket, which lowered their cost
per click and improved their conversion to sales ratio.
Results
Their spend has reduced by 20% but their traffic has remained the
same. However, the quality of the traffic has greatly improved and
is much more targeted. Therefore, their conversion rate has improved
by 40%.
