History
Advanced Inspection Services (otherwise known as 'AIS X-Ray') are European leaders
in the specialist field of x-ray inspection and contamination detection. As
part of a confidential industry, AIS do not promote their services or their
previous work, making exposure on the web a difficult task.
Objectives
AIS wish to use their website as a introductory tool to encourage new client
contracts when a problem has arisen with their product. However, their potential
clients (while searching the web) are often not sure what they are looking
for in order to help the situation; hence a broad range of search terms needed
to be considered, with various "common" words
(such as 'contamination' and 'inspection') associated to them.
For the above reasons, SEO was considered more suitable than PPC marketing, which may have resulted in overspending on less relevant search terms.
Our objective was
to raise the profile of www.aisxray.co.uk within Google's natural
rankings for several very different industries, and increase
traffic from potential
clients researching their problem, with the end-result of gaining
additional long-term contracts.
What we did
Esummit researched and analysed various keyword combinations that
could be used when a contamination problem occurs, and which "searches" gained
the most relevant results. By optimising the website page-by-page,
to target each specific industry serviced and increasing the level of carefully
chosen
inbound links, we gradually built a worthy list of top 30 Google
rankings and more widespread knowledge of AIS' existence.
Results
AIS have seen a massive increase in website traffic since August
2005, experiencing over 500% more visitors just 2 years on. Their website
can be found on over 60 relevant listings on page 1 of Google (top 10),
with 34 different terms from their selection of chosen combinations, including
'contaminent detection' at no. 1 and 'toy inspection' at no. 3*.
